Children's Liturgy of the Word
All school age children up to fifth grade are welcome to join us for Children’s Liturgy of The Word during the 10:00 AM Mass at Saint Pascal. Father will invite the children to come forward to the front of church and give them a blessing. The children will then be led to the Neckerman room where they will hear the same liturgy said in church written in a way that is easier for them to understand. The children will hear the First Reading, Responsorial Psalm, Gospel, say the Creed and offer petitions as is done during Mass in the church.
The catechist will then lead a discussion on the Gospel or another spiritual point they would like to make. The children actively participate in the liturgy by volunteering to do the first reading and responsorial psalms as well as asking and answering questions provider by the catechist.
Parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend this liturgy with their child and enjoy first hand the wisdom of our children.
